Quicken Loans' Response to a
® Complaint
Consumer's Problem: Apparent bait-and-switch.Firm's Response: Attack CX instead of fixing or explaining the problem.
Quicken Loan's Chairman/founder/owner attacked ConsumerXchange before even checking the web site to see the obvious facts.
"Carl Shoolman has spent 30 years developing ever-better tools for consumers...."
Fortunately for consumers, his panicked reaction is unique for firms receiving CX Complaints.
Typical: "We're going to turn it into a very positive situation." "i've checked the site and its real!" ...
CX is still actively pushing Quicken Loans to fix this consumer's problem, while warning other consumers about Qucken Loan's conduct.
(The full CX Complaint had been faxed and mailed, but CX also emailed because the consumer said he had a 3-day cancellation deadline....)

Subject: RE: CX publishing Quicken Loans bait-and-switch complaint.Don't send this spam to me or anyone else this company. We have no authority from any client to deal with your firm. We treat all of our client's fair and have the best client service records in our industry.
You have read ALL of the documents and disclosures this client has signed and were delivered to him? You know all of the facts that went on with the processing of this loan?
If the answer is no, then we consider your "bait and switch" accusations to be libel.
If the client you speak of here wants to address this issue they can easily get a hold of many people here who would gladly look in to their concerns.
Maybe I will start a website exposing your extortionist, amateur, and silly behavior. Maybe you should try to start a "real business" one day.
I would govern yourself accordingly Mr. Schoolman. We take threats of your nature very seriously and will go after you with whatever it takes to make sure you are not violating the law, ripping off consumers and spreading false gossip, slander and libel over the Internet.
Richard,
As our Chief Corporate Counsel will you please look into this company "ConsumerXchange" and see if this is just some college student "hustling" people over the Internet (as I suspect). Find out where they are registered to do business? Also, please do a deep dive and investigate who a "Carl Shoolman" is and see if he is real, if he has any criminal background or any other
Daniel Gilbert

Your customer: XXXThis looks like bait and switch.
You locked no-points, no deadline. Then you refused to close unless he paid an extra $5,000 (1 point).
Closed Saturday.
You need to fix this now.
We'd much rather publish that you adjusted the loan to the promised rate.Carl Shoolman
